Somatic Session Walkthrough
What a session looks like:
We start with conversation: We begin with a verbal check-in to track what your system is managing today. In your initial session, we’ll also review your physical history and significant life events to identify where your body has patterned its protective habits.
You remain fully clothed: All hands-on therapeutic touch is non-invasive and practiced while you rest comfortably on a treatment table in your everyday, comfortable clothing.
Settling onto the table: You will rest comfortably face-up on the treatment table. Using gentle, respectful contact, my touch invites your nervous system to drop out of a defensive "doing" state and slide into a deeply receptive mode.
How your body unfolds: Your somatic process is entirely unique to you. As things begin to release, you might notice physical sensations, a wave of emotional clearing, sudden insights, or a profound drop into quiet presence. There is no right or wrong way to heal — I am there as your grounded guide to navigate whatever surfaces.
Somatic Therapy
Somatic Therapy with me is a deeply restorative, hands-on experience. While some somatic practices rely solely on movement or conversation, my work uses gentle, body-led therapeutic touch to communicate directly with your physiology and nervous system.
True healing requires a biological sense of safety — a deep, body-to-body knowing that cannot be faked. By anchoring our work in this neurobiological safety, your nervous system finally receives the somatic permission it needs to drop its guard.
Together, we work with your body-mind-spirit connection to help resolve deep-seated trauma, chronic overwhelm, and stubborn holding patterns. This process doesn't force change; instead, it respects your unique system, giving your body the exact space and resources it needs to heal on all levels.
